Our History

What Drives Us

 Belle Ame Bengal Cats started through our proprietor Emily's lifelong love of cats. This is a passion she shares with her sister who also runs a successful cattery in Leicestershire (JCJC Bengals).

Both sisters have taken something which started as a family passion to build successful breeding schemes.  The kittens at Belle Ame Bengals are bred to have friendly dispositions and fit in seamlessly as incredible family pets.

Since 2019, we have been located in Melton Mowbray,  where we live together with our animals. We breed responsibly and according to the best practices of the trade, all of our pets are TICA or GCCF registered

When choosing a name for her Cattery Emily wanted to find something that would tell prospective owners something about their future pet. Belle Ame translates to 'Beautiful Soul' which is a defining feature of this highly intelligent, playful and sought-after breed.
